Training
The students are selected every year and receive a basic training
related to the use of field equipment, counting techniques for Primates,
individuals and group recognition, biology of the animal, map and compass use,
GPS, camera recorder, sounds recorder, and others.

This experience involve the learning of
organizational processes and logistic required to carry on a scientific
research, as well the discipline and experience of interact with local
communities.
Requirements to be a volunteer
The volunteers generally have to have the following requirements:
*Panamanian citizen
*Biologist student in last level of the carrier, coursing studies in the University of Panama.
*Good health and physical conditions
*Knowledge of driving four wheels pick up (optional)

Observing monkeys
It is a four hours of theory training with a coffee break and this cover
food, transportation during the entire surveys or educational talks
periods. We facilitate the basic equipment for the field as boots,
t-shirts of the project, notebooks, compasses, and binoculars. The trips
are coordinated depending with the time available for each person but at least
a total of five days of support per volunteer, maximum of 10 days in the field,
with work from 04:00 to 18:00 hours.
Certification
At the end, we give them a certified as recognition for their support,
which could be utilized as part of their CV's in future
applications. Normally, and if the project have the funds and respective
data, we try to involve the volunteers in important events like national and
international conferences, scientific international congresses, depending of
the interest that the student shows.
